Dance at MusicalArts
Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop , Jazz, Tap & Aerial
At MusicalArts, our focus is the learning process and building strong technique. Dance builds confidence and self esteem to support the expressive artistic dancer. Young child classes are nurturing and engaging to set the tone for future learning. Students are appropriately challenged to master new skills and techniques with each level. The artistry and expression are paramount in student learning. Our ultimate goal is to nurture a life long love of dance and creative expression in every student.
Our faculty are University trained teachers and performers. More importantly, they are passionate about teaching and their students.
Each December our level 1 & higher students have the opportunity to perform in The Steadfast Tin Soldier by Hans Christian Anderson alongside faculty. All students perform in the Spring recital in June. This is a culmination of all the hard work, accomplishments, and achievements of the year.
Not sure what level to sign up for? Call the school at 603-778-4862! We will be happy to help place your child in an appropriate class. For students, who have had more extensive dance training we will set up a placement class to ensure students are in the appropriate class.

I’m excited on graduating this year with a certificate and associates degree in dance education from Northern Essex in Haverhill, Ma. As a college student I have had ample opportunity to perform and choreograph while being exposed to variety types of dance including ballet, jazz, modern, world, and Hip hop. The majority of my dance training is from Jeannette Neill’s in Boston, Ma where I have studied under well-known choreographers. Growing up with a strong passion for Hip hop, Jazz, and cheer I look forward to doing what I love sharing my passion every week as a new member of the studio.

During her time as an undergraduate she performed with Utah Ballet for three years, and participated in the cultural exchange with Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea. She has had valuable experience working with guest choreographers through the University of Utah as well American Ballet Theater’s Summer Intensive and Ballet Regent Summer Intensive.
In the past she has had the honor of performing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra Christmas show in Salt Lake City, Utah, with East West Dance Theater in Maryland, a benefit for the Chinese Embassy, and performances at the Baltimore Museum of Art in Maryland.
At the University of Utah Mrs. Allen taught several courses including ballet technique for non-majors at the beginning level, freshman ballet technique for modern majors, and advanced ballet technique for modern majors.
Mrs. Allen has choreographed for several performances in the Department of Ballet including Ballet Showcase and the Graduate Student Concert. During the summer of 2010 Mrs. Allen enjoyed a summer at Long Lake Camp for the Arts where she spent time choreographing for the dance performances and musicals including Ruthless, Dear Edwina and Once on this Island.
Currently Mrs. Allen is a Teaching Artist at Colby College in Waterville, ME. She also enjoys teaching at Dance Unlimited in Augusta, ME and MusicalArts in Exeter, NH. Mrs. Allen is Les Mills Certified in BodyStep, Sh’Bam, CXWORX and BodyFlow and currently teaches group fitness at The Sweatshop in North Hampton, NH.
